CFMEU

The CFMEU ACT Branch is dedicated to ensuring that construction workers and their families achieve a better quality of life both in the workplace and at home. The standards of pay and safety in the ACT have been achieved over years of hard work by building workers and their Union. Today the CFMEU still stands together to protect the gains achieved by former members and continue the push for better wages and working conditions in the building and construction industry.

By supporting CCW, the CFMEU ACT Branch plays a vital role in improving the quality of the psychological, social, and economic life of workers and their families. Their officials, organisers and other staff actively lead the fight against everything that affects their members in their local communities. Their ongoing support of CCW demonstrates that the CFMEU are not only dedicated to improving the physical safety of workers, but also their mental and emotional wellbeing.

CCW was founded by the CFMEU ACT Branch in 2008 as an initiative to assist members of the construction industry improve their mental health and wellbeing. Although CCW is now a separate entity, CFMEU still continues to provide significant financial support and works collaboratively with the CCW team to help raise awareness of our services.
